Sheriff Lunch Program

Program Partner:  Washoe County Sheriff Department

Incline Education Fund (IEF) created and funds this ongoing program at Incline Middle School.  It was designed to help foster good relationships between the local sheriff department and middle school students.

IEF hosts lunches and provides games to give them all an opportunity to get to know each other during the school day.

“The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office has recently restarted lunch time visits at Incline Middle School.  We will continue to send 1-2 deputies to the Incline Middle School on a regular basis, one to two times per week to engage with and get to know the students.”

“Having our presence at the middle school during lunch time will provide the perfect opportunity to interact with and build relationships with the students.  Perhaps the opportunity to participate in or coach a game… or, simply just talk to them and build trust and legitimacy.”

“Any opportunity to engage with our community is of utmost importance to our Office and we are truly grateful for the support.”
