Incline Education Fund (IEF) spearheaded the ongoing initiative to create the first and only K-12 STEM public school pathway in the state of Nevada. This was accomplished in 2024 by laying the groundwork for unique, innovative STEM programming at each school.
The effort was recognized by the Nevada Governor’s Office of Science, Information & Technology (OSIT) as EACH of the three Incline public schools was named a “Designated STEM School” – ensuring that our schools meet the highest standards of STEM instruction and are models for other schools around the state.
IEF believes that this programming will:
Incline High School is a nationally recognized 5-star school that is ranked in the 89th percentile of all public schools nationally and # 6 in the entire Reno Metro Area (2024 US News and World Report).
IHS is an AP Capstone school offering several Advanced Placement, Honors, and dual credit classes. The Personalized Learning Academy is a new initiative designed to allow students to chart their own pathway by utilizing internship opportunities to explore potential career choices.
Through the generosity of the Dave and Cheryl Duffield Foundation, IHS recently completed an incredible renovation and expansion project that includes a state of the art culinary teaching kitchen serving the Highlander Cafe, dance and gymnastics studios, tech-enabled meeting rooms, a student “hub”, and ROTC facilities.
Additionally, Highlander athletic programs annually produce state championships across multiple sports.

Incline Middle School cultivates a passion for learning and a foundation of integrity, resilience and collaboration. Its signature program, the IMS Exploratory gives students an opportunity to explore potential careers and personal interests.
