Think “outside”.

Outside the classroom. Outside the textbooks. Outside the old expectations of what learning science should look like.

Incline Education Fund has funded a pilot outdoor science program with Sierra Nevada Journeys for Incline Elementary Students this fall. We are raising additional funds to expand the program for the rest of the 2020-2021 school year and beyond.

Utilizing both the recently created “outdoor classrooms” (that Incline Education Fund created in September, 2020) and our vibrant natural surroundings, Incline Education Fund is bringing the innovative STEM curriculum created by Sierra Nevada Journeys directly to our students.

Sierra Nevada Journeys teaches teamwork and critical thinking skills through a separate focus at each grade. Students become science literate through classes in biomimicry, engineering, ecology, environmental science and geology.  This vibrant STEM program gets kids out of their classrooms and “in”to Tahoe.

Sierra Nevada Journeys is a nonprofit dedicated to developing problem solving skills that help prepare students for the future. Learn about about the new nature of learning at: https://www.sierranevadajourneys.org/

Your financial support can make a positive impact on our student’s lives. When donating, please indicate Incline Elementary School Outdoor Science on your check or in the special instructions box for cc donations.
