Building a Makerspace for Incline Elementary School

When donating, please indicate “IES Makerspace” on your check or in the special instructions box for credit card donations.

We are building a student-centered classroom where students will develop the ability to collaborate, think critically, be creative, and communicate.

The IES Makerspace provides project-based exploration, where students use ELA, math, science, social studies, and computer science skills to solve a specific real-world problem. They will learn to problem solve, fail, and persevere.

With a focus on robotics and coding, Incline Elementary School students will develop the tools to be successful in the 21st century.

Students will gain a confidence and trust in themselves as they are presented with challenges and become problem solvers. This helps to create independent thinkers as they learn through experience and present their projects to an authentic audience.
